Twitter is good, I've been there since 2011. Many exponents better than Facebook IMO, you won't regret it.

I looked whos following us, mostly people what arent even on forums.

So how does Reddit normally work. Is our subreddit a place for fans to start their own threads and discuss, or for us to post development updates threads to discuss, or both?

@NickTheNick it's all up to the users. I would say treat it the same as Twitter, but also let people ask questions. I'll probably be hanging out around there to answer any questions.

The subreddit is a little naked right now. For those unfamiliar with reddit, here are the customization options:

• Header image: the little white reddit alien (nicknamed "Snoo", I believe) can be replaced. If some artist wants to take a stab at it, maybe a more... evolved alien would be fitting. Or just the Thrive logo.
  
• Sidebar: The subreddit's right sidebar can be customized to contain subreddit description and rules, relevant links, and much more. Look at /r/games, for example.
  
• Custom stylesheet: we can add custom CSS to change the subreddit's look, including the pictures for up- and downvotes, the colors, fonts, background image, and so on. I wouldn't take it too far, though (if at all), because a carelessly chosen color theme can quickly result in an almost unusable page.
  

By the way, Nick, have you accepted the moderator status? At least I don't see you in the list of moderators.

Argh, I want to. My parents are being... Cautious about it. I'll try and convince them. I would love to help out though, I'll tell you how it goes.

So, I toyed around with the subreddit settings a bit, and I was wondering, are there any suggestions you guys have for how to customize our page? I have already copied over our description from ModDB to the sidebar of our subreddit, but its not much.

I didn't want to start a new thread on this, so I'm posting it here. What do you guys think of using donations or kickstarter to pay for professional advertising? It was a suggestion someone wanted me to ask you guys.

I don't think we even need to start thinking about advertising till we're in public beta stage. While I would like to accept donations, and/or utalise a kickstarter (as people are always telling us to and say they are willing to donate), I can't think how we'd split the money. But when it comes to advertisement point and we're ready to go large on first full release, I think that sounds fine.
