To stay in the speech of paganism, I decided to compose a song that concerns the progressive fall of paganism (in favor of other religions or in favor of atheism) or it can also be used as a defeat of a pagan army.
What do you think?

Wow, that's amazing! It sounds really sad. Like a Greek Tragedy, even.
Also, I edited my frozen wasteland theme. Feedback would be much appreciated:

Here's a new microbial theme. Finally I can start putting my theme here myself. Thank Oliveriver for a bit of post-editing work.

And yet another theme... This one is a bit more intense of a theme meant for playing during an invasion.

I like them both. In my opinion we can make them "official". But its better if we are also waiting the opinion of Oliver.

Oliveriver approved them. In fact he chose the pictures for the videos.

I find that would fit much better as a tribal jungle theme than an organism jungle theme.

While this theme is pretty good, I think it's probably a little too dissonant and erratic to fit Thrive, especially in a fairly action-free environment. If you understand how key signatures work, it might help, as at the moment it feels like you've just thrown a load of unrelated notes together (which I'm sure you haven't, but keeping within a certain key signature will prevent it feeling like that).
EDIT: 300th post! :D

I agree with Oliver. The first song I can be considered official, but the second has to be redone. I am reminded of Monkey Island 1.

After upgrading my music software yesterday and messing around with some of the new tools and features, I have finally decided to update the Thrive Main Theme, adding a couple of sections which have been sitting around waiting to be heard for a few months:

I think while you're in organism mode in socienty stage there should be different soundtracks for the time you are in one of your villages/cities and a "exploring theme" when you walk around with an organism in the wild. That would cause you to have that feeling when you discover a new, cool place in a game. The night/day themes could play while your organism is in your city. Also there should be a difference between the themes that play while your species is a primitive tribe and an high-cultivated race.

I moved your post here as the topic you posted in was obsolete and this thread should preferably be used for most music-related discussion. As for what you suggested, that's already planned to be implemented, although the theme transitions will obviously have to be thought about to prevent the music stopping and starting too often.

Here's a Communist policy theme, composed by Doggit and me.
Any thoughts?

Hey Totemaster, It's nice to see so many people working hard on the music for thrive. Since you hinted that feedback would be appreciated id like to comment a few things. (take it all with a grain of salt) Just so you know I have a 12 years of background in music, including 7 years of studying composition as well as conducting my own symphonic works. Regarding the "Frozen Wasteland (V2)" theme, I would like to make a few comments. The piece itself is fine, but the setting it's been written for is a bit out of place. As a background theme for a video game, there are a few key things you have to keep in mind.
Discernability/recognizable
As ambient as a soundtrack may be, a "theme" should have a key motif (or theme like the name suggests) that makes it distinguishable. Along the same lines, even if you want it to be very subtle ambient background music, without a unique harmonic and rhythmic structure, the chances of the player getting bored/annoyed at the music increases. any simple harmonic procession will work, as long as it becomes a motif.
Rhythm
I mentioned it earlier, but the rhythm of the piece is slightly disturbing as a game soundtrack. you want to establish a rhythm that keeps the piece going. This influences the player's mood and pace at which he or she plays the game. Just like coders listen to their own music(often hardstyle and punk), its important for the soundtrack to match the game's tempo. This music sorta made me stare into space for about 4 minutes.
These would be the main suggestions I have for the piece. Keep up the good work. Here are some suggestions of simple pieces from video games.
Spoiler:
Thanks for reading! Again, keep up the good work!

Just posting to let you know, I put your videos in spoilers so they wouldn't take up so much space. Btw, you seem new to the forums and well acquainted with music, you should introduce yourself here.
