| No, spore had pre-made sounds and parts. I think something computer generated. | |

| Well, unless someone wants to record their dog or whatever, it's going to have to be computer generated. | |

Couldn't we record some basic sounds like roars, growls, squeaks, squawks and then edit their pitch according to the factors that UTeen mentioned.

I see what you mean, pre-made parts, but wouldn't the vocals have to be pre-recorded (i don't think the computer can do it, we'd probebly end up with a cat that sounds like a dying chipmunk being run over by a lawn mower).

| I'm gonna post an "Alien Transmission" somewhere, which is in fact, my voice horrendously garbled into unintelligible screaming. Caution: it will be loud. | |

So it'd be realistic! I think the computer should be able to come up with some sensible sounds, if we do it right. If we end up with something that doesn't sound right, that just tells us it needs tweaking! There's no rush. On Spore, that did use different sounds, but weren't they purely based on the mouth type, not counting any other factors?

Not entierly on mouth type, if you sized it bigger\smaller you would get lower\higher pitch, but that still is technicly purly on mouth facors (sorry for my grammar, I just rolled out of bed).

| No, this assumes Earthness, or even humaness. Pitch is decided purely by lung stressor. There is no reason mass has anything to do with lung stressor. The problem is that it DOES. But we're not on Earth, and we're not making humans. | |
