I feel it's not my say, but I suggest we shouldn't worry too much about the exact pigments we're using, since it really won't make that much difference past cellular. I say go with the previous suggestion of having the assets for chloroplasts, etc. be greyscale, so a variable color overlay can be added in later. QFT I actually saw a Bungie presentation on particle effects, and they used the exact same image for every single gunshot in Halo 3. They used a grayscale .png texture, and then stored gradients that lent their color to the image depending on the gray value.

This seems like a good, manipulable way to add some variety to ordinarily boring and uniform plant colors and should fit in with the ideas presented here.

| In a surprising turn of events, I have created some Concept Art! It's pretty basic, but it's a start. Tell me what you think! - Spoiler:
(Made with SpaceEngine + GIMP)

| That is amazing Jacob! What are those spark looking things flying out of the planet?
It looks breathtaking. I would use this as promotional art, or as a background for a menu or game design document.

| I could imagine that art being the start of the game; The camera flies past are planet or the planet you're going to play on, and on the dark-side of the planet it has the Thrive text along with music, then the camera rotates to reveal the light-side along with a meteor crashing in Just what I pictured from that concept. | |

| Microbe models, and microbe GUI. Also, you can do drawing concepts, to show of how our game might look. | |

| I'd like to point out that due to the dynamic nature of microbe shapes (i.e. the player can change the shape in the editor), I don't think it's a good idea to invest too much work into creating random 3D meshes for cells, unless they will be used in a place that I'm not aware of. The current plan is to generate the microbe meshes dynamically during runtime.
As WilliamstheJohn has already mentioned, we are looking for ideas how the microbe stage and the microbe editor could look (like a screenshot, but faked by an artist). For details on the intended visuals and the microbe editor UI, have a look at this wiki page.

| K, I can sketch those with pencil, use my 3DS' Colors! 3D program to draw them, and I can make models in Sculptris. .3.
I'll get right on that expeditiously!

| Tribal drawing: - Spoiler:
This started as a VERY quick drawing I made, but I decided to make a quick coloring and post it here. And sorry I couldn't use a scanner! It's a group of humanoid creatures I called Wagasi. I know they look really human, they are supposed to be like that This planet is very similar to Earth, but a little warmer and really dangerous. The biome in the foreground is a very hot rocky desert, but it's full of cracks, and below is hollow. Here temperature is colder, and there's a wet, swampy enviroment where most creatures live (including Wagasi). Wagasi sometimes they get out to hunt bigger creatures, also war is fought in the surface. The jungle in the background may seem a nice place to live, but they don't go in there. Is a really dangerous and unexplored place. These tribes just call it the "edge", and usually avoid it. PS: We have 42 pages! Cool.

| A few cells I drew; - Spoiler:
From top to bottom; Paramebos dextra, Bacteritian xenoxa, Parameci xenoxa, Diatoma dimastÃgia Simple multicellular creatures based on the above cells; - Spoiler:
From top to bottom; Simple squid-like creature with heat sensing organ, Placoderm-ish thing with four light sensing organs, Basically a swimming stomach with a big mouth attached, tends to bury in the mud and ambush prey, has primitive light sensing organs on top, and primitive lateral line, Little pyramid-shelled crab-thing; two black spots are primitive eyes. Early land forms based on previous primitives; - Spoiler:
From top to bottom; Predatory squid thing with tentacle mouth, Small armored amphibian, I call it the Ambush Fish amphibious with poisonous spikes on its back eyes highly sensitive to light; has long, very sticky tongue thrown out for catching prey, Almost the same crab, this time bigger, mantis arms under the front of the shell, two more legs, two dexterous tentacle tails, used for display and manipulation of objects. Some kind of wyvern/pterosaur-ish critter life cycle; - Spoiler:
From top to bottom; Larva, three months old; Whelp(Pending), five years; Adolescent, nineteen years; Adult(Adolescent, but with longer antennae, larger horns, longer tail, stinger, and claws), some more detailed shots of adolescent. Haven't finished the Cell stage concept yet, I have the backdrop with cells and stuff on it, but I'm not sure what to do with GUI or HUD for it. Edit: Not sure what each frag on the GUI I put on the image should be for, so I just numbered them, though the Thrive logo is supposed to be the menu button. - Spoiler:
