| Things Are starting to move in Our Game. Roadkill Is Working on the Coding. The concept is almost done, And we got some Sound. But we forgot Something Important: texturing and Modeling.
So I Think we need to stat a Project That is Goal Is to Get Models and Textures done. Anyone That Know how use Modeling and Texturing Software can help.
Good And Common Software:
Modeling: 3D Max Blender Maya
Texturing: Gimp Photoshop

| Depends. How are we rendering these things? Unlike c#, there's no built in libraries to load meshes. | |

not being familiar with c++ you would have to look that up i guess? 3ds would be good to post here because most modeling programs can import them in, so if we get models flying about from modelers to animators to texturers and so forth we can all access them easily.

Hold your horses. We don't need any pre-made animals or plants, because the point of the game is that they are generated procedurally and evolve (check out the OE current concept, link in my sig. the only things we would need as models would be things like rocks.

As admirable as that is, we'd still only need a pyramid to test the values.

| Yes, we definitely need models for rocks and leaves and grass. Mostly rocks. Lots and lots of rocks.
We also need gaseous textures. The kind we can billboard to make clouds.

| Will stars be editable by the player? If not it might be a good idea to add them to the list. | |

They will not be premade. they will be generated by code

I think this has too many polys for a game engine, but it looks great. I can texture it if you want, but don't expect more than 2042x 2042 textures for now ^^

Maybe not the animals or plants themselves, but what they are made of. Paws, beacks, leaves, bulbs...We need loads of models. A good model format would be obj or dae, those are the most common I think.

| Ok, so, i created an basic model, just to finally try to help with something on this project, and I used this concept created by Gawbad, thank you - Spoiler:
and, here it is... - Spoiler:
- Spoiler:
there are a few things to fix, but, is just to have an idea, i would put some nice textures on it, but i'm too lazy to do it now, so... hope you guys like it, i'll be working on more models based on some other concepts, if anyone want to send me anyother concept to transform in a 3D model, i'll be happy to work on them... oh, and if anyone wan't the file, I don't know, PM me or some thing...
