This idea of identifying and "saving" creatures via fossils intrigues me, without meaning to reference spore too much would it be a good thing if you could preview them in sandbox, in a museum so to speak.

Having a pedistal or frame in a room or just empty space with the bones/fossil hovering above in a idle postion, at a click of some buttons *Shards artistically* you can layer on muscle and finally skin in 3 layers.

*Just a quick note - This may be useful for editor*

Of course it would be 3d so you would be able to look at it from all angles and through some more buttons on the side view its movement pattern and some pre set animations.

Even if it has no practical use (Conjuring creature and placing down in god mode or using in the sandbox.) it would be neat.

Although it sounds nice, the "fossilization" is actually just a euphemisim for randomly saving organisms in a biome. Being able to revisit skeletons doesn't do much.
