PostDevblog #5: Bashi returns from nowhereland, Funny stuff, and NO OT SECTION.

If you haven't noticed, Our favorite lead programmer Bashinerox has been missing for a while. If you didn't notice that, it's fine because he has returned. Apparently, his interwebs was destroyed by a surge. But while he was away he had time to come up with some- dare I say genious- stuff for the creature editor. Check it out.
I feel a lot of the time I don't include some of the gems that come out of our discussions. So I've kept track of them.

While in a discussion about zero-g organism propulsion, Bashi ran into a little trouble with the censoring.

plasma Belgium!

EDIT: you can't say Belgium?

can i at least say bum?

EDIT EDIT:
ah ha!
yeah other three letter word for bum starts with an a ends with an ss
Yes. Yes it does.

Bashi also explains why complexity is complex.
Spoiler:

And our very own uteen modi-quoted himself to disastrous effects.

What if you're a plant modem? (On second thoughts, that whole sentence needs striking)

Not Thrive anymore... Umm... God? wrote:
There is sudden silence, as the herbivore power surge? slowly creeps up on you... You try to run, but you have no legs! Alas, the vicious herbivore surge eats your modem alive! The sad, slow, reminiscent music starts to play and you mourn your poor plant modem...

Bashinerox, not the strange creepy player guy person wrote:
I'll never forget you! I wish I could see your beautiful leaves and mushroomy taste just one last time (I assume your modem possessed those qualities). Why do such cruel things have to happen to innocent plants modems (assuming your modem is innocent. Is it??) like you!?!? I'm so sorry, there was nothing I he could do... The herbivore power surge was too fast with those incredible, evil legs! I he loves you, alien plant modem thing without a brain!

I mean, [deleted ]!

(MEGA roflmao sorrow! Strange, creepy Kind, caring, programming, player Bashinerox guy person, welcome back to Thrive!)

And finally, there will be no Off-Topic section as long as I'm in charge. Don't let you get any ideas about mutiny from that, I have a very good reason for not having an OT section, and it's because by definition, it is not productive. It's fine that you have things to say that are unrelated. just don't say them here. remember these are development forums. We'r not all fun and games, we're all game.

And on that bombshell, It's time for me to go.

-scio OUT!

Devblog #5: Bashi returns from nowhereland, Funny stuff, and NO OT SECTION. :: Comments

YES! No off-topic! I knew this day would come, and kind of hoped for it. You know what happened last time..

Also, it's good to have Bashi back! Maybe he went hiking up one of those giant mountains to one of those ancient chinese towers surrounded by trees and lakes. Or maybe a science center. Because he seems to know a lot, especially compared to me
We have plenty of OT stuff just in every discussion, so we don't really need an OT section. Glad Bashi's back.

He went to nowhereland. Topic titles don't lie!
But now he's back, as the title said, as we can now continue to worship him! We hail you, oh great and mighty programmer! Wait, we don't all actually worship him? I knew that... Yeah... *cough* Hmm...
...
I was featured!
I am very happy for everything in this blog entry. Bashi is back! I was starting to worry, i must admit.

And as a veteran too, i must say no to the Off Topic Section. It will kill us all.
Yay, code is going to start running wild now that Bashi is back!

Amen to that. We go OT enough as it is. The amount we go OT is somewhat acceptable, though. We don't drone on for pages at a time.

Yes, add an OT section and the Belgium will truly hit the rocket engine.

Never EVER look at pages 4 and 5 at the Military topic. You have been warned.
for the record:
"0.0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000539 of a second (give or take a zero or two I think)"
its exactly as much zeros as it should be(there should be 41 zeros in that number and there are 41 zeros)! Also you should of accrued it to one millisecond instead of one second, because one second is very unaccrued. I can notice how seconds past, but i can't notice them to the millisecond. I really enjoy such crazy math stuff.

Awesome, i got it right!

Yeah that's exactly why i chose one second. Because its a horribly innacurate calculation interval. and yet that still brings us short by orders of magnitude :/

Most games would do one 30th of a second for calculating physics, and one 60th of a second for rendering graphics
