Diamonds are pure Carbon and not a compound. Anyways I like all the ideas you have given.

| one of the most basic laws of chemestry is that you cannot get a 100% pure mixture; there will always be impureties, take gold as an example, there can be an purety of 99.999%, but other metals always remain.... simulating the chemestry itself is a interesting but unecessary idea, mostly due to carbon compounds which have many isomers for the same formulae, so let the possibility open for a add on, but i dont see the need for simulation in the 1.0 game | |

I personally don't see at all how it can help us. We simply don't operate on that scale in the game.

| exactly my point. If someone else wants to do a patch for that, they are welcome and it could even end up featuring in the main game, but we dont need to worry about it, since simulating chemistry is just too much. get a computer chemistry modeling program... there are tons of em out there.....
btw, we seem to have some off topic posts here and there.... would ADMIN create an offTopic section (no effect in the postCount)? that way we dont need to waste good topics discussing philosophical issues. It is also benefitial for interaction...

Off tiopic sections lead to Belgium and laziness. "Other" is already the largest forum section.

Off tiopic sections lead to Belgium and laziness. "Other" is already the largest forum section. Could that forum section be changed to have no effect on the post-count? I agree with Eumesmo on this point, off-topic usually wont contain relevant posts. Afterthought: Hang on, Other? Other is relevant, isn't it? Doesn't the fact that is biggest mean we need more forum sections? I'm off to look. EDIT: Yes, most is relevant, but some is off-topic, such as Evolutions! Is Dead and From Dust... A non-post-counting off-topic section would be good to separate out Off-Topic from Other.

You're derailing this topic. An Off-Topic section is by definition unproductive, so I refuse to have one. It becomes the only thing people post on. Bad things happeed with that on the original evo forums.

| it's a game, the objective is to have fun..... but apart from the irony, off topics actually get the off topic chat onto them, reducing the off topic (like this) in the productive work
double irony: the discussion of either to have a off topic section is off topic recursive irony: the previous irony is also off topic.....

I'm not making one, because they suck up time better spent on productive things. If you have nothing on-topic to say, go to another forum and say your off topic stuff, then come back here and contribute. [/endofdiscussion]

| ok, you're the boss... XD. i can handle without them
back on topic. is it ok then that he periodic table is researchable, upgradable with new element discoveries and conceptions of the elements and their structure, but quimical reactions wont be simulated?
