| Nothing is definite untill we see it in-game These are some rough ideas, I would say.

| A little critic if you don't mind: the top building looks like a toy with all those wires coming out of it I definitely love the portal and the stairway though. | |

| I dont mind at all although I specifically did a little referece silhouette on the entrance to show the size, and to get the "toy" feel away, but ok will correct next time. | |

In my mind "ascension" would require a massive amount of energy, so there are two ways I see this happening. One is that energy is concentrated inside a room and another is that its concentrated and then released. Or the mix of two.
Anyhow, some concepts:

Religious architecture ftw.... Holy *... It definitely beats anything I could come up with, especially in architecture. Nice job! And now that I think of it, the mass of wires and cables above it and form overall does remind me of GLaDoS (from: portal). Not that it's a bad thing. GLaDoS actually looked rather alien to begin with. I understand it's only a rough, though, and does need some cleaning. Also, I haven't gotten around to making artwork for the game yet, and haven't gotten to doing so, but hopefully I'll get to it. It's just a case of artist's block. That, and the fact that I spend most of my time on Minecraft and obsessing about 9. *Get it? Holy? Because this is an ascension gate? That turns you into a god? Hah!

| This wasn't really intended to be concept art, but i got drawing in class the other day.
https://2img.net/r/ihimizer/img42/4329/img0001qu.jpg I know, probably too many complex fingers and toes to be a worthwhile use of energy. But i thought maybe its native terrain could be rather uneven and require sure footing?

It looks like an omnivore (looking at it's teeth), so it's limbs could prove useful when moving after prey pretty quickly in a jungle-like environment both on ground and in the air.

With a little tweaking, it could easily be a viable high-grav critter.

So, I'll just keep on doing what I can with what I can find
"finished" pieces, althought its in a different direction than concept art.

You should consider getting a deviant art if you don't have one already.

| A deviantart? I thought photobucket is enough =)
Edit: Somebody asked me about spaceships, so I took a “terran” design and added my two cents into its evolution.

From top to bottom (think of it as a timeline):
At first relatively small re-entry vessels assembled on earth. Thrust propulsion.
Then Much bigger vessels assembled in G 0 environment, because of their mass and therefore have no re-entry capability. Thrust propulsion.
An experimental vessel assembled in G 0 environment, installed with a FTL core (outside because of the cooling). Thrust propulsion with additional magnetic propulsion.
All sorts or reliable affordable small scale vessels with thrust propulsion.
A vessel of a new level with a much more precise FTL and only magnetic propulsion still does not have re-entry capabilities.
Deep space exploration (as a result of the vessel type above) allows for new materials thus, finally, allowing atmospheric re-entry for larger vessels.

| Nice space-ships! I'd be a bit worried about that last one landing on a planet, though. Likely to crush a few towns or a city or something.
That gives me an idea for a suggestion I could give: Concept art for Space-ports (ones that accomodate those epic ships and the smaller affordable ships would look cool, to show the scale)!

| Gotrol, have you thought about getting a CAD or 3d drawing system to enhance your incredible art? I think it would look cool. | |

CAD wouldn't help. GIMP can, though. Oh and DA>photobucket. by far.

| Of course I thought about supplementary stuff like GIMP, CS and such, but won’t be working with them (at least heavily) until I get spare money for an Intuos4 . Because mouse is just not enough and adding all sorts of flares and lens delusions.... what’s really the point? Just my limited opinion though.
Oks, will be getting DA some time soon then.
Edit: got it http://gotrol.deviantart.com/ it takes a pain to upload

| I've got a deviant as well (with nothing in it :P). I'll get some stuff on once I work out how to make my pictures visible when I scan them. Seems that it doesn't scan the graphite propaly... | |

| Do give it a try, it usually takes 2-3 shots to get it right, but graphite turns out better.

| Right, here's a little aquatic organism that feeds on small orgasism similar to plankton. It's called a sweeper (pretty obvious why).

Well, this design is quite old. I've drawn a scrap of 4 of this family (including this one). I'll draw them propaly in a non distant future. I'll be coloring in other of my drawings in the next days.
