| Haven't you posted these on the second forum? I remember I saw them already. Still, the hippo looks great. Slugs look a little rushed though. | |

Yeah I think I did. The slugs were something I thought of during class. And I quickly drew them once I got back to the dorms.

If you still have the picture, I think you could still give it some details to make it more awesome.

| I think the slug design is cool... Infact I think all of these alien designs are cool, Abalrogue So I chucked some of them in an underwater scene - Even if they aren't meant to be aquatic The sweeper thing is in the background too :] Oh I hope you dont mind that I used them They kinda look 2d (Well because they are) and its not very high quality (A bit blurry) But its conceptual art none the less :] | |

Wown that's is belgiuming awesome! No I don't mind, you can take any of them (just give me a bit of credit ). By the way, the sweeper is about the size of a trout. And the slugs are about the same size than a sea slug. Hey I'm puting that pic on my desktop background. EDIT : @2creator : I'll try to give them more detail, that should make them look less 3D. I've got a lot of drawing to do now.

WOW. Just... WOW... Yeah, they do look a bit too 2-d, but only for the guys in the foreground really. If you have a 3d modeling program you can use, try that. If you're clever enough you may even be able to use Spore to model them.

Spore or modeling program? Spore cause I don't know belgium about modeling. EDIT : Since I can't paint reatures well in spore, here's a spore version of the small and fat floater that will need to be colored in : EDIT2 : Yeah modeling is probably best.

| Sorry for the doble post. - Albalrogue wrote:
- I've just finished drawing two organisms (animals). I will upload the pictures once I get to a bloody scanner wich will probably be in 3 weeks.
Anyway the first one is a remake of the limagnaticus creature I put on the old forum. It is a large vetebrate that is as high as a rhino and as long a an fully grown anaconda. It has a large skin bubble on it's back wich it fills with blood when it is thretened, wich causes it's skin to turn to a purplely color. It feeds on small animals and plants.
The second one is a "scentient" species called "hackers". They are invertebrate slug like parasites, about the size of a cow's head (not including the tail), that cling on to the head of their host with harpon like claws, digs through the flesh and skull with it's beaked tongue and hacks into the brain via nervs that will fuse with the host's nervous system becoming the new brain. However, the hackers have come to a stage wherr they do not use their host as bodies but machines such as robotic bodies, vehicles, etc...
Yeah, probably quite useless what I just said but it's to give you an idea of what I've done so far.
PS : I'm crap at shading and coloring, so if there is a photoshop wizard or even a good coloror out there, would you color in these pictures once they're on the forum? Right so here's the Hacker I was talking about. I drew him without the robotic body, but I can't find it...

Give me that scene, but blank. I will makes art. So you mean just the water w/o creatures, shadows, or logos? (On assumption) Sure thing ~And here is my celebration of 100 posts~ Also as a celebratory action on this occasion, I may make myself a Thrive Sig =]

Well I've started doing some good ol' shopping to it, from the original drawing. It has more depth to it. But I'd like to ask, Albarogue, do you mind if I do this? I'll give credit to you if you prefer. I mean, for the alien design (which actually reminds me a lot of this- for now I'm only doing the sweeper).

| I think I may try to shop some spore creatures (Ones that are actually plausible) into scenes...
Perhaps even with Maya renders... except I don't have Maya nor the ability to use it. I am a total cab with blender too... Most 3d modelling programs =/

I mean, for the alien design (which actually reminds me a lot of this- for now I'm only doing the sweeper). Lol, I was kind of inspired by that. I thought the back (or front) fin looked cool. So I put it on the sxeeper. And yeah, go on right ahead. I was going to ask a friend to do it but it will be more of a bother for him. And thanks for credit. EDIT : Here's another organism from the Sweeper family. It is about the size of a pig (not including tongue). https://i.servimg.com/u/f29/11/29/35/94/sweepe11.png (Yet to be finished)Finshed And here's an atempt on shading the Floaters. I'm just pointing out that they aren't the same organisms, they are different species or breed (in between I think).

| Creepy? Dont know, I tried to get in between insects and mammals sort of thing =)
Anyhow, I just quickly bogged down and idea of an "extended" spaceport... very much WIP but Im planning to do a big all out picture.
Question is should I move the spaceport away from the horizon into the picture, or should I leave is as it is and populate the space before with small buildings?
http://gotrol.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d31ma8q
Your call, Im stuck. | |

Your call, Im stuck. You should pull the space port a bit froward into the picture, but if you leave it as it is it's good as well. Any is fine really.
