I do like the logo. Its like a claw and a gear and the sunlight over a planet... It manages to represent like 3 major aspects of the game in one simple symbol

Yeah, a tiny bit. But to me it looks like evolution. On your upper left you have an organic shape gradually getting bigger, representing the way a species might do the same as they evolve, and on the other side you have a gear, one of the standard symbols of the industrial period that comes some time after your species enters sapience. So it actually has big meaning despite its utter simplicity, as opposed to our last one which didn't really have any, honestly. And by the way I'm sketching up some ideas for aliens I might model. I've been learning how to use this thing called sculptris. But they don't look too good.. Anyone else have ideas? ChameleonSushi?

| @Pezzalis Those microbes are awesome! How did you create them? @Noitulove i can give some random images that i've created a while ago of alien creatures. You can use them for inspiration. That program is something i'm definitely gonna use thought. http://darkhunter1357.deviantart.com/gallery/#Planet-Alienus There are some of my first pictures. | |

Thanks New layer, Clouds, Plastic wrap, Magic wand around the shiny middle nucleus area, feathered and duplicated. The rest was free transforming and outer glowing to give them a membrane... then liquefying a few of them and brushing in the moving chromosomes in the dividing cells - Noitulove wrote:

Have a go at the mascot (If he is still our mascot - The deep sea worm) If not, GamerXA and Alaska posted some pics of conceptual creature back on page one of this thread... If ya like I could try making some realistic aliens on Spore for you to use as a concept...

Actually, he's not anymore, I think. That was made by Sven in the very very early days back when he was promoting Evolutions!, which came way before Thrive. What I'm worried about, though, is that he might find out we stole his concept behind his back and face the same fate of the last forum.. or perhaps he might have a master plan up his extremely long sleeves.. Anyway I might try my hand at one of those concepts and maybe post my own.

I would be surprised if he didnt know about Thrive... And is the ModDB site still being updated...? Pehaps we need an external site to post some concept art. Perhaps the Sporum Ad atm for example... Can't wait to see what you come up with

Nope, we have a better mascot now, although we don't use him much- it's evobeast. This is him with only muscles and bones. Never got around to putting skin on him. - Spoiler:

Epic And I resized some of the concepts so they could be forum backgrounds (If you think they are worthy :P) (I'll post them on the forum bg thread, they aint any different to the ones I posted here apart from the size...) But I got rid of the daisy petals in the microbe scene

| I've made a concept of the Organism Editor, the way i visualize it. It still needs some work, so suggestions are most welcome: https://2img.net/r/ihimizer/img691/2623/tempalte.jpg It uses my resolution. The buttons at the bottom are: The first arrow is for going back to the main menu. The middle human is for the test run of the creature(thats why the human is running). The last arrow button is to go to next step in organism editor, the muscles editor i think it is. You can then use the first arrow to go back to editing the bones.
The 3D model was made by me its not spore lol.

| I like your concept, Darkov. Simple and intuitive, but efficient. (BTW, button to go to main menu is not really needed, you can just hit escape key for that). | |

The 3D model was made by me its not spore lol. It's a good start, could use some dressing up but I understand it's just a basic concept. The middle human though could just be one of those standard stick figures you see on yellow signs. And that's about my only suggestion..

The 3D model was made by me its not spore lol. Meh... eh... cells don't have bones. Also, that's way too Sporeish. Also, I'm pretty sure our current OE concept wouldn't look much like that. Sorry, man. :/

| This obviously is not cell stage lol("I've made a concept of the Organism Editor" , "The last arrow button is to go to next step in organism editor, the muscles editor i think it is. You can then use the first arrow to go back to editing the bones." Cells do not have muscles do they?). And "Then I hope you don't mind describing a basic idea of the features of what will?". And its a basic concept which i will change when you tell me what to change. And i could make it less sporish, by adding ribs but didn't had time to model them then. | |

| It's just a placeholder, it's OK.
Also, people should start writing what they would want changed, instead of just "This sux".

| I like the concept for the editor Darkov.
I made one a while back before the summer hollydays. Unfortunatly I can only show in a month's time since I'm staying in england until then and I do not have a scanner.

How will that work? "Muscles/Organs Muscle Muscles will wrap around any bones i a procedural way. Larger muscles will attach to larger bones. You can make muscles larger/smaller, but you can't delete procedurally generated muscle. You can add muscle, but remember that larger muscles consume more energy, and smaller ones pose the risk of snapping. Muscles will not wrap around arthropod, plant, or fungi parts. Wormacle invertebrate parts will be filled in by muscle."
