| i have a idea to god mode. you have a space civilization that got all god powers and ascended. After that you could research: "give life" That way you'd transform a lifeless planet into one with perfect conditions and start life (molecular stage) there. You could play with that life (new game) and since it was made by that ascended civilization you could use god tools in that game from start since it's as that ascended civ was controlling em as gods (like you did but in a more detailed way). You could at any time go to there or return playing with the "mother" species. | |

| that way we'd still have one ( or maybe even more) species in a single save slot (the one from mother species) that had god mode while keeping it from the others | |

Just select new game and it will put you somewhere in the universe.

Just select new game and it will put you somewhere in the universe. You should be able to select the level of complexity of the new species up to the point of your most advanced race.

| A "allow God Mode everywhere" checkbox should be included into difficulty options. | |

| I don't know if this has been mentioned before, but I did see that you think God mode should be accessible through other saves. I think that that should be one option, and that you can also create a new save just for God mode. All saves should be in the same galaxy/universe, but on different planets/galaxies such as on Spore. I really thought that layout was very good and easily figured out. | |

| Yes, these have been mentioned, and been decided to be this:
God mode can be switched to and from at any time, so you can choose if you want to only use God Mode.
And there will be only one galaxy, with all save planets in it. Basically what you said.

I guess that makes sense.

| Ah, I was misunderstood. What I meant to say was, how would we create the creatures to populate the world without having them auto-evolve from cells? | |

| You should do it how they did it in call of duty 4, where theres 20 pieces of intel and even if you find all 20 in your first game you still cant use it untill you win and then you can use it, you should impliment a system like that where theres 30 artifact scattered throughout the galaxy and as you do missions you might be revealed the location of one and every artifact would be guarded. and once you get all 30 you have the option to unlock god mode or continue playing, or you could do the research thing. the artifact idea is cooler though
EDIT: or you could just stumble upon them or go google Thrive Artifact Locations. each way works.

Well once we have enough player-made creatures we could use the player-made population idea. Just make sure that the organism matches the planet they spawn on, and it should be right.
