| I wish I could get my stuff to turn out that alien...
Everytime I try to make a critter, it looks too earthlike unless its a bug of other shelled creature. DX

| I drew some eye concepts that allow the Photoreception ability for Aware organisms. Several of these are inspired by real-life creatures, a few of them are a little stranger. - Eye sketches:
Unlike Spore, where you cannot modify the eyes, these eye parts can be aesthetically morphed vertically and horizontally, the lids can be made heavier and the pupils dilated. But the main difference lies in the fact that they will not make your creature a cartoon.

| Those eyes look fantastic, Evan (you said to call you that, right?). That will be a good guide for the modelers when the aware stage rolls around. | |

| That would be excellent. On the art thread we posted on a couple days ago, we should start working on a list of models that we need to create, so that we know what we need to model. | |

| Ooooh... can 3D modeling be effectively taught to a 14-year old?
See, it's not just that the programs are very complex, but good modeling also takes a lot of technique that can only really be taught by someone in the industry or learned on your own through a lot of trial/error.

Sure it can! Learning is easier the younger you are, it's just a question of patience and motivation

| Veery good eyes. And I have an idea: the modifications would not only be aesthetic, but would modify traits, such as distance, detail, and strength(Which would dictate the health of the eye, to make it less vulnerable. Come to think of it, this system has many applications.) | |

| If the modifiers affected the health and vision of the eye in a way that affected gameplay, they would have to cost something to be used.
We don't necessarily want creatures to crawl out of the slime with perfect vision, do we?

We don't necessarily want creatures to crawl out of the slime with perfect vision, do we? Unlike Spore, where you can instantly see everything like with binoculars, yes.
