ill see if i can get the 2d sprites done then, but one question:
why is there a slime gland? how can a single-celled organism have a slime gland? a gland is a collection of cells. the slime coating a bacterium is actually the result of the bacterial capsule diffusing into the environment around it, and the bacterial capsule is secreted by like any other collection of sugars. there shouldnt be a special organelle for it.

I guess this isn't the right thread for this discussion but i agree the names need to be worked over, and while we are at it "cell wall" is a plant cell thing its hard and a cell with cell wall is immobile. Animal cells have "glycocalyx" instead.
!!!OK I am dumb forgot that bacteria have cell wall and can move with Flagella and such.

"-Gland" here is an easier way to say "-producing organelle" We like to not worry about semantics here, unless the meaning is highly essential or confusing, but I understand the confusion here. That's just why the name hasn't changed. Here's a flowchart of some of the more essential organelles and processes. It is incomplete because we will add more to it in the future.

I noticed your little hard to see correction there. Bacteria can move fine when they have a cell wall. You are correct (as long as they have cilia or flagella or are spiral shaped.)
But do keep in mind that this is a GAME, we have thermoplasts which don't exist in real life. So ideas, as long as they seem realistic and open possibilities are perfectly acceptable.

Just to show that I am working on some stuff and not not doing anything (I did put 2 "not"s on purpose);
And I also came to think about something, QUESTION 1: I'm not really 100% sure wich side of it that's supposed to be the front-side?
QUESTION 2: Is the animation good enough? (should it be moving faster/slower, bigger movements, etc?)

It looks great! These are going to be quite small ingame, so any animation issues that might arise will be minimal, though I don't see any here. I don't think it really matters which end is which.

Well, i know to use blender and make simple models, but im not really able to make models for game. I could do some 3D promotional art, if you want.

i might be missing something here, but can some one explain to me why can't we make a cell editor and then make those cells in it, instead of making them in blender of what ever program.
PS: i think i can do the textures for all of these cells a lot better, i think.

The models here are either the components for the cells (like cillia, nucleus,...) or AI cells as placeholders while we get the auto-evo and they can "use" the editor.

That looks quite nice, Cheese. Great work- my only complaint would be that everything is moving a bit fast, and I'd rather the logo not spin about. Where is the background from?

I can make one where it doesn't moves so fast and the logo doesn't spin about. The background is one of the official Thrive microbe backrounds, the green one.

Here it is:
I've made the microbes move slower and the logog not move at all, as requested b ~Scio, but I've also added some more microbes to it.

Hey Thriving Cheese, Here's the cilia.
Spoiler:
I left in the first set so the others can see the other option.
I'm also working on a conjugal nuclei model.
P.S. Is there a size reference sheet for the size of the 3d models?

Nice, gonna add it to the Thrive-art file. Could you maybe also do a grayscale version of it?

Not as of yet. Are you using Blender? If yes, then it should be best with around something like 0.25-3 BlenderUnits (seen from above).
EDIT: I've made a free-living bacteria, I'll post a picture of it soon.

I have the 3D Model for the Conjugal Nuclei in this link.
It has the model and the texture.
It's based on how it looks like in real life.
